I don’t know much, but I do know that physical exercise has the tendency to bring mental clarity.

I turned 45 on February 9th and with that I wanted to start pushing myself harder in key areas of my life. One of those areas was in my daily workouts.

You see, I can be very A.D.D and lose focus and find myself going through the motions with minimal effort.

I was not inviting the pain of progress. Life is way to short to simply go through the motions.

When I only go through the motions I’m wasting my most precious resource, TIME!

I don’t know how many more seconds, minutes, days or years that God has left for me.

But I do know that I’m going to focus on focusing on maximizing moments in the key areas of my life.

Failures and all!

I’m going to continue to “invite the pain” during my workouts knowing that when pain is invited, progress arrives!

I’m no fitness guru and there are PLENTY of days I don’t “feel” like going to workout. But you know what does feel good? Seeing my blood pressure back under control, feeling my clothes fit differently, feeling more energy, feeling rested when I wake up in the morning. I like those “feelings”.

Maybe you’ve lost some of your drive and find yourself going through the motions like I was. Make the “decision” to get back at it or if you haven’t started yet, START!

Anything built on a shaky foundation is bound to fall.

You must understand that storms will come regardless of the life you live. Whether you live a relatively problem free life or an unstable one, things will not always be great. Stable foundations don't eliminate anyone from going through adversity. However, firm foundations help us weather the storms. Those who endure the winds of trouble with an attitude of grit and determination tend to rebuild much quicker and with peace of mind.
